About Us

MOMS Club of Knoxville-Farragut was founded in June of 2001 with six charter members. Over the years, we have become an invaluable assest to many stay at home mothers from the greater Farragut area. There is something for everyone within the MOMS Club of Knoxville-Farragut; members can find plenty of opportunities to participate or volunteer.

Members meet once a month at a General Meeting, which features a speaker or activity. These monthly meetings give the members a chance to gather and explore topics of concern as well as enjoy a time of fellowship with the group as a whole.  During the meetings, childcare is provided for those who might need it for $2 a child.

Play dates and other activities throughout the month offer members a variety of opportunities to network with other moms and socialize their children. Upon joining the club, members receive a monthly calendar and e-vites. There is at least one all-club outing a week.

Some of the various events we coordinate include:
  • Coffee Mornings
  • Cooking Club
  • Lunch Bunch
  • Library Story Time
  • Park/Pool playdates
  • Outings to indoor playhouses and local gyms
  • Walking Club
  • Special outings (for example to local museums or farms)
The majority of our events last an average of 60-120 minutes.  Most activities are free.   For those events that do require admission, outings typically cost less than $10 per child.  Any fees are always advertised well in advance for planning purposes.

We also organize regular weekly play groups.  Children are largely placed by age.  Each playgroup is lead by a coordinator who acts as a liaison for the group with the club leadership.
Once a month we hold a Moms Night Out gathering, which gives us a chance to mingle and unwind.  Our club also occasionally has family nights or week-end activities for the entire family.

We are very proud of our Meals for Moms program, which provides an invaluable service to new moms or those members who have fallen ill.

Additionally, everyone in the club is encouraged to participate in at least one of our Service Projects each year.
